The longest-running number ever, Lil Nas X's Old Town Road

If "Old Town Road" wasn't sountracked in your summer, you were incorrect. Lil Nas X's viral track has formally become the largest running number one in the American chart history, ticking the Billboard Hot 100 for 17 weeks.

The song's alone overtaken "Despacito" and Mariah Carey's "One Sweet Day," the first song, in the last seven days, with 72.5 million streams and 46.000 downloads. Before releasing many remixes this year, the rapper has dropped the track in December 2018, the most popular feature of Billy Ray Cyrus. Along with this ingenious tactic, Lil Nas X benefited from his internet mind and his colossal social media that were central to the viral fama of the track–remixes are close enough to the original, so they can count as one single remix.

Mariah Carey tweeted her thanks, writing, "Continue your best life! Passing the torch in a hilarating picture Photoshopped!"The rapper now faces Dazed in autumn 2019, which celebrates Yeehaw all stuff. We have partnered also with TikTok on the #LassoChallenge "Old Town Road"-try here, and maintain an eye on the cover story by Lil Nas X's this afternoon.
